Well I haven't painted all with acrylics before. I have always used them with my watercolors, highlights,etc... This is my first ever attempt. I Am calling it Child of the Oak. My daughter Rowan is the refference, yes I know Rowan? But you said Oak? =) Her pictures here at the top of my lil' table easle are a year old, but I thought it was a cute pose for a face. I have so many more layers left to do, I wanted a break for a moment and share my progress, plus I am getting a bit sleepy. I hope to finish tomorrow night, but we shall see.

These little guys were fun to make. I have been working on some rounder caps, but I like the way these turned out too. I want to get a wooden bowl to put these in for display, I might try goodwill, I am addicted to thrift stores for treasures. I always seem to see wooden bowls and baskets every time I go.

I have so many that I figure why not?! All of them are different but similar in shape and size. I like adding different amounts of spots on them too.

So excited and motivated. I had to post! I applied this morning to be a vendor at faerieworlds and recieved the your in comfirmation this afternoon.  So now it is on to create and get production flowing!

I am finally in a position financially to try and vend at faerieworlds 2010, but am I ready, do I have enough.  I have some new drawings and paintings plus a couple of doodles with marker I just spent a ton on prismacolor artist markers. But I am really behind in wing making, of course finding the space for that has been an issue. Art supplies and wing making supplies are taking over!lol. I would love to be picked to be an exhibitor. The last time I went was a few years ago with my husband, kids, and a family friend. The hotel was so messed up and didn't shuttle us like they said leaving us stuck there the first night and so imaginosis gave all of us back stage passes. It was so neat to sit back and chill with every one in the v.i.p tent. Brian and wendy were there.  I ended up not being able to sit and chat with them though,because my daughter 10 months at the time wanted to zoom everywhere, she just had learned to walk. So it turned into a great time. I dont want to wait to long though to fill out an app.

I know kinda bloody......

This one isn't done just basic layering and some mistakes to be corrected, she is I think going to be holding out her hand to a bumble bee, not sure yet , but that way I cant fix the fingers by doing some shading. Well, I am still learning with the markers but I like them it's lots of fun!
