So cheap are words, I some times find, against so great a loss. To think of him as a legend says much of things he's done. Your tribute to him shows how great a legacy he has in you. For a parent to be remembered this way is the highest honor any child could give. Death scars the heart and it's hurt can be felt in every beat thankful are our memories and how they soothe the soul. I think of my dad and at times sense his thoughts are with me. It may sound strange, but that's what legends do.

Aww Libi I'm just returning from a trip and seeing this now. I so want to reach out to you. The emptiness so huge on losing him... It will tear at you forever, but especially now.

You know however that the beauty of the Universe lays in it's infiniteness, and with that I believe your father's awareness is in that heavenly blanket of stars, above, all around, and within us. How can it not be? And with time, we will be together again.

The tough part is now, when your Dad's left. His love still lives, you know that, because he planted it so deeply and throughout your heart. And he lives, just as that love does. Remember that Libi... While the world is aswirl in it's business, with no thought for your hurt, remember that he lives safe within the island of your heart now. He wants the best for you, wanting you to live on for him too as he watches, since it's only your happiness he desires.

Know that we care for you too dear friend. Because while your friends are but distant flickers about you, seemingly of little consequence, we care so much for your hurt and pain. I know this is true, because you've written so kindly to so many here yourself. Your dad brought you up to feel for others, and so now here you are, stuck with people who care about this kind heart that you are.

    Remember that we're here. :^)

I can't help but think that of all the "non-living" atoms I'm made of, and I am alive, that our beautiful planet and Universe, made of so many "non-living" stones and elements, is somehow also "alive" in some infinite awareness.

Within this all-encompassing and beautifully loving awareness, and I feel convinced of this, lies your son. And your son, as he gazes out to you and fills you with his love, is so proud of your breaking of that tormenting ice that has so bound you and robbed you of him. So proud, this heavenly being is, that he got to call you "Mom" if only for the briefest moment in time. I'm convinced you've felt this, as I see you so healing in your poem.

Some things I won't dare to imagine. I'm sorry you must know them. Words, like peace,at times are hard to find. How ever well there told they can never reach the depths of a spirit's wound. How strong one must be to share their greif within words narrow limits. In your undeserving private torment we wish your suffering to end. I hope just knowing others share in your pain may bring comfort to your soul.

    Awakening

Saturday, November 14, 2009, 01:54 PM EST [General]

Once again I am so very pleased and proud that my poem 'Awakening' is featured for November 09 on the Froud site representing and inspired by the Faery of Transformation .. Last year my poem 'Quest of Faith' (prev blog) inspired by the 'Faery Godmother' by Brian Froud from his book good faeries/bad faeries was chosen in the category 'Best of 2008' which was wonderful this poem featured October 2008 ..

    Photobucket

the image of the Faery of Transformation is depicted alongside 'Awakening' on the site .. just wanted to share my excitement and joy with all of my dear enchanted friends .. as ever, in

love, peace and joy Lib xx

                                  'Awakening'

Raven haired or titian locked, ruby red or chocolate box, silvery strands curl raven streaks but however she looks, here she speaks.

Distanced space means nought to her as she journeys by the heart. Souls passions conceal, excites deep inner being, she doesn't just live, she feels and breathes with fire in her belly fuels adventures to explore, encountering her an honour, shared thoughts trusting treasured store.

Powers inherent instill awakened stirrings of a deep inner spirit, releasing souls unmasked to who you truly are, no colouring, bared, flamed, alive, feelings and passions stir and strive. Don't let her go, please listen hard, for she is life and she is you, whether old or young always stay true, have no regrets for what has been, for here she speaks and you have seen.

Friday, November 13, 2009, 06:32 PM EST [General]

Yikes !!!  Friday 13th  strange isn't it you go about your daily activities and then suddenly realise the date Ohh Ohh and all of a sudden you think something untoward is going to happen. Are you one of those really superstitous people who do not even get out of bed on this date and stay snuggled up under the covers. Or has something good happened on this date ~ one thing it is always a date that takes people and brings them up short if only for a brief sharp intake of breath, a moment of doubt, then on with the day ~ Have a great weekend everyone TC  LIb

I always consider 13 a lucky number for me (I like to go against the grain!) so I quite like Friday the 13th - I was hoping my baby might arrive on this date, especially as if it is a girl we are calling her Freya, and Friday is Freya's day!
However, I do still exercise caution and told my other half to drive carefully when we went out for the day! :o)
