I grew up in a small town in Southern Ontario near Niagara Falls, went
to art school in Metropolitan Toronto, worked in retail packaging,
printing, restaurant and manufacturing industries as a Marketing
Coordinator, packaging coordinator, Executive Assistant over the years.
I've dabbled in illustration, jewelry, teaching, and woodworking and
doing the Southern Ontario Craft show circuit.
About 10 years
ago I accepted a transfer to Winnipeg where I was inspired a by a
friend to start making cloth dolls a few years ago. I continued doing
craft shows there, continuing to make dolls and jewelry. I moved back
to the GTA a few years ago and continued doing the art show circuit
here. Over the years I have sold dolls Internationally on ebay as I
continuously learn my craft. I now sell primarily on etsy.
I am now an artist member of the
Canadian Doll Artists Association. You will find that most of my dolls
are in the fantasy category. I wonder if it has something to do with my
Celtic heritage or more to do with my active imagination. For whatever
reason these creatures creep forth from my dreams to my fingertips and
finally to you!
I've recently started sculpting with polymer clay and think I have found my thing... you can watch for my items on sale at my etsy shop.
Hope you enjoy seeing a few of my works. Some are old favourties, others available for sale. Thanks for looking in... blessed be.
