    Welcome one and all.

Lets start a little discussion going. Which place or places are most magical to you? My most magical place is Glastonbury UK, which I visit as often as I can- I am about 120 miles away. I felt the magic there on my first visit, before I knew anything about the myths or legends or spiritual heritage. I really do feel somehow as if i am on the same wavelength as Glastonbury.

I have a thing about woods and trees at the moment as well. I love the play of light and shadow among the trees, and the fact that you can find mysterious little hollows and dells and hollow tree trunks there. I am sure that if I am ever fortunate enough to really be able to see the fae, it will be in the Chalice Well gardens in Glastonbury or by an ancient tree deep in a wood somewhere.

Apart from Glastonbury my other fav magical places are ilfracombe and lynmouth. No obvious faery link, they're both just so pretty and full of happiness! Also love all the old stone circles around Cornwall, would love to explore Cornwall some more :)

I love that feeling you get when your somewhere magical & your spine starts tingling & you get goose bumps! I havent been to the tor in Glastonbury but would love to go, I visited Avebury near stone henge, The whole village is actually inside a standing stone circle & the whole place is just so magical. Also theres a very tall standing stone in a small village called Rudston in North yorkshire which is amazing, afew years ago my friend discovered a crop circle in a field about a mile away but in a direct line from this pillar & we sat in the middle of it for ages just soaking up the atmosphere, I've heard it said before that rocks can hold memories, maybe thats why alot of places with standing stones feel so magical, who knows, its a mystery! Oh, Jackie, I so want to go to Glastonbury! I've been saving money up for a year now, and hope I can go next year, if my husband earns a good bonus.

It is strange--the yearning came on me just from hearing the name. As I researched it online, more and more things fell into place. The fairy connection came up first. Then the fact that it is sacred to both Christians and Pagans (I'm Catholic, my husband is Wiccan.) Then the fact that our marriage's patron saint/goddess (depending on who you talk to) is Brigid became relevant, because she hung out in Glastonbury (when I thought her strictly local to Ireland.)

The clincher was the Grail connection. Our first home (communal) and the one we hope to have in the future (communal once again) was and shall be called The Grail, because that symbol is mystically charged for us both. Just as I was reading online about the Grail and its connection to Glastonbury, the roofer came by--a beefy, no-nonsense, hardworking sort that the landlady sent over, with an expertise for repairing difficult roofs. When I came out to see the source of the footsteps on my roof, he came down the ladder with a glazed expression on his smiling face and introduced himself as Percival (his given name was something Hispanic, actually.) Without any indication on my part about what I had just been researching, he told me, "Only the Holy Fool can find the Holy Grail," and wandered off into the desert, leaving the roofing undone. I later found out that he found the road and hitchhiked home all right, and a friend of his drove his truck into town for him.

Now that caught my attention! Up to that point I kept thinking, "I wish I could afford to go to Glastonbury, but of course that's out of the question. That would be foolish!"

So I asked for a dream to confirm whether or not I should visit Glastonbury, whether I would be welcome there. And I dreamed of the Angel of Glastonbury laughing and saying, "Yes!" When I thought I had awakened, I looked out my bedroom window and saw the Tor. Then I woke all the way and saw the desert mountains once again.
