One of my very favorite types of glass for the longest time has been the "ethereal" milky-blueish moonstones! Im absolutely in love with them.... and the bigger, the better! In fact, Im always on the look out for great jewelry with these moonstones in it (that I can afford, of course) which has been a real challenge lately..... so you can imagine my pure delight when I happened to come across some glass rods used in lampworking/flameworking that had a somewhat similar look to my favorite moonstone!  Blessed be .... I bought half a dozen rods on the spot!!

Im soooooo very excited at the thought of being able to create my own moonstone gems that I can hardly wait for my glass rods to finally arrive.  The moonstone beads I plan to make with this glass will be the focus of some medieval-fantasy bead sets, as focal beads in some faery charms, and pendants, etc!

When they do.... I will definitely post photos of the beads I made with this glass, and hope that it is closer to the moonstone Ive been in love with... than not.
