This is my first oil on canvas painting.

I have been working with oil for 6 months now and feel I am getting the hang of it.

I still find it hard to obtain all the things I want, but that is how it is when you take up a new medium.

My art teacher at the South Danish Art academy is a non figurative painter, so we work in very different ways, but I like the looser style, he invites me to try.

I am still working on the painting of MR. Tandrill, and I have started a painting of the Maiden Of Birth. I will upload them in the near feature!

A new year has started, and I hope you all had some nice holidays! We had snow during the holidays here in Denmark. The snow and ice make it hard for the birds to get through this month, so I have started to feed the birds in my garden.

My daughter Camilla is going to get married on the 27th of February, so the next two months will be very busy. The wedding is going to be a fairy tale wedding, and we will all attend the wedding dressed up in fairy tale costumes. I can't reveal what I will be wearing as Camilla might read this ;)  

I had the first chapter of my book about Nidlongdir proof read, and I hope to publish it next autumn. I am working on new illustrations and the book will include stories I never published in my blog or in Faezine.com.  

My husband gave me a Science Fiction & Fantasy Art Course at London Art College as a Christmas gift, so I am looking forward to doing this exciting course. Last year I took oil painting classes at our local Art Academy, and I will upload my first oil paintings, as soon as I get a day of light so that I can take some photos of the paintings.  

Ebbe and Selene have moved into the fairy house, but I didn't have time to make any furniture jet. As soon as I have made a table and some chairs Selene will have a tea party and of cause you will be invited :)
