 Port St. Lucie, FL – April 21, 2013 – Multiple award winning composer & producer Mark Barnes of Port St. Lucie, FL. (ThE BaD BoY oF ChilL OuT) released his 4th commercial CD called “Timeless Journey” this past Friday April 19, 2013.

The CD Release Party and Concert, which took place on the same date, featured songs from the “Timeless Journey” CD as well as cuts from his previous CD’s “Alive”, “The Awakening” and “Temporal Infinity” and a few songs from his highly anticipated forthcoming Christmas CD “Chill Out Christmas”.

Barnes’ music has been featured in numerous magazines and web sites, including EmmeK New Age and New Sounds Magazine (Dec. 2007) and AMMA AnR (Aug. 2007). He was a top 20 finalist in the instrumental category for the 11th annual edition of Unisong’s International Songwriting Contest and was the featured artist for October 2007 on the “Pulse of the Planet” radio program. Additionally, Barnes was awarded the 2008 Independent National Artist of the year award from the Phoenix Music Awards and was a performer as well as the recipient of the 2008 Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award for Music & Cinema at the 18th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards.  Barnes was also awarded the 2009 Soloist of the Year Award at the 19th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards, the 2010 & 2011 Composer of the Year at the 20^th & 21^st Annual Los Angeles Music Awards and was the recipient of the 2010 Genre Award in Music at the Pride in the Arts Music Awards sponsored by Rainbow World Radio.

Barnes music is regularly played on Mystic Age Radio, Mystic Soundscapes Internet Radio, Rainbow World Radio, Numerous FM Smooth Jazz & New Age Radio Stations, Happy Days New Age Radio, the Cygnus Radio program and I-Tunes New Age Internet Radio Stations. Barnes’ work on the music for the Docu-Drama “City of Drams” with 2 time Academy Award Nominee Carol Connors won the Best Theme Song at the 2011 TCI Film Festival.  Songs from his July 2012 release “Alive” have already earned him the Outstanding Musician for the Instrumental / Soundtrack category at the Live Nation sponsored 7^th & 8^th Annual OutMusic Awards and also the Best Easy Listening Male Artist for the 1^st Annual Indie Music Channel Awards.

Chill Out & Ambient New Age Musician Mark Barnes was honored at this year’s 19th Annual Los... Angeles Music Awards, which was held at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, California on Thursday, November 12th, 2009 with the Soloist of the Year Award. Barnes a local resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida and multiple Award Recipient was a nominee in 2 categories and walked away with the 2009 Producer Choice for Soloist of the Year. Barnes was previously recognized with the 2008 Independent National Artist of the year award from the Phoenix Music Awards and was a performer as well as the recipient of the 2008 Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award for Music & Cinema at the 18th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards last year.
