    Dream walking and catching

    Monday, April 21, 2008, 12:43 AM [General]

Dreamwalking and dreamcatching is known to many cultures. To the Celts, they used the catchers to not only capture dreams, but also ideas and visions. They made a circle or halo out of the oak or willow's soft branches and these were embellished with leaves or flowers. Not only did these Celtic rings or circles catch dreams, but they had the ability to filter out bad ones! If one did a blessing or magic with it, it could retain (for the wearer,) the good dreams and even give positive direction for the wearer's life. Wow!!!

Here I present you with single verse of a song simply entitled, Dreamcatcher. The version I have is sung by Nikki Matheson.

    Hear my silent prayer

    Heed my quiet call

When the dark and blue surround you

    Step into my sigh

    Look inside the Light

You will know that I have found you . . .

    Some magical lyrics

    Sunday, April 20, 2008, 11:51 PM [General]

These are some of the musical words from the song/lullabye entitled, Prayer. It's ispiration was fairytales. It shows how even as adults we can feel timid or vulnerable. We reach out for signs and guidance. We look for the path to safety. I think the most beautiful rendition sung was by a Scottish artist named Karen Matheson. You may know her as part of the group called Capercaillie.

    Here's some of the words:

    PRAYER

    Hush--lay down your troubled mind

The day has vanished and left us behind

And the wind whispering soft lullabies

Will soothe--so close your weary eyes

    (Chorus)

    Let your arms enfold us

    Through the dark of night

    Will your angels hold us

    Till we see the light?

    Sleep--angels will watch over you

And soon beautiful dreams will come true

Can you feel spirits embracing your soul

So dream while secrets of darkness unfold

    (Chorus)

    Let your arms enfold us

    Through the dark of night

    Will your angels hold us

    Till we see the light?

Hello Brigit, Very happy to make your aquaintance on this lovely site, and thank you for your lovely message. It was a cheerful pleasure on this sunny Sunday morning. I've just come in from my round at the feeders filling up for my feathered friends, lol. Now I am reading emails, drinking coffee and watching the activity outside. World is growing fast around us so I treasure my little spot in the woods. Let's talk soon.
