Another that I drew this weekend, for auction here

I started reading Saimain's first book: The Rover's Cripple this weekend. I've had it for a couple years but it kept getting put on the bottom of the huge stack of books that need to be read. I was hooked right away, which is great because I've had a hard time getting into books lately.

Last night I made apple pie and watched Mansfield Park and really enjoyed it, compared to the last Austen I'd seen (Persusion, which bored me)

Fallcon is this weekend. I don't think I have anything comic related to sell right now so I may have to put a mini book together or reprint something last minute. I've been working on putting a book together by Anime Detour (but that's in March and not going to get done any earlier), and have redrawn an entire chapter and inked 8 pages this week.

My dad is speaking at the Minneapolis Central Library Saturday as part of a Thoreau Society Conference. I'll be at Fallcon so I can't go.

The original painting is for auction here. I noticed she looks a bit like Jupiter from Mary E Gober's Mercury Brightman as I painted her for the back cover. It's a bit of an idea for a larger painting hopefully.

Today I had a nice surprise. I got a box of Nestle chocolate and instant Whittard tea from England from a friend. I had some of the instant tea from a couple years ago and had just used it up this summer. It makes the best iced tea.

So, I think I didn't get my allotment of tea today. I was sleepy all day at Pagan Pride. Sales were a little slow, so hopefully better tommorow. I met some nice people. The guy in the booth next to me gave me "Have a Fairy Nice Day" bumper sticker. I got a couple ACEOs sketched, doodled a lot and read my remaining copies of Mouse Guard.

I was a bit ticked off when I saw someone selling heap rip offs fairy merchandise of a picture I recognized. I looked through the catalog that was sitting there and asked him who made them. Of course he's not going to tell me, but I found them online anyway. I swear I see this kind of stuff everywhere i go :( Is it all over or am I just good at recognizing it?

And here's the commission I finished this week, based on a similar ACEO from a year ago.

• I have a whole bunch of Ebay auctions up right now, cheap - A couple card/print sets, stickers, handmade polymer clay pendants, bookmark sets, sanrio plushies, Katamari Damacy, and some manga/graphic novels.

I have more mushroom and forest photos from last weekend to post at some point.

One small commission mostly done. The larger one is going to take a while and I managed to do another lineart.

I'm going to have a table at Pagan Pride this weekend. This was a last minute thing so I need to get ready like crazy the next two days. And then next weekend is Fallcon.

Today mailed a pile of stuff and went to Dick Blick to stock up on matboard and pick up pens for someone on etsy. I have a nice coupon so I'm going to get everything I need for a while.
