Flurries in the Fields & Forests of WI
Mabon/Equinox Here in the Fields of WI
Certainly is Autumn-like here. Rain at night-60's daytimes, a bit cloudy.
Yesterday I placed fading flowers, green glitter, left-over waters from the red & white springs from Glastonbury. I put these on a triangular libation stone in my Faery Garden as offerings. I also placed a hefty spice cap of mixed honey & butter for the Little Ones.
The latter was completely missing this morning!
A Flapper Family in my Ancestors?
I've been digging through my precious Collection of belongings. We all know : "We can't take it with us," but who should get it?
I found a necklace chain of round clear crystals with 7-yes the Faery #7 - suspended clear crystal rectangles hanging from it. The pieces move back and forth with me and are just so much more splendid that the sinlge crystal hanging. I am wondering if it might have been my great Aunt Hattie's. In that case, I wonder if she has an interesting explanation for her silver-tone gold filigree diamond ring with 3- yes#3 -diamonds on it?
Never the less I use the ring as my Druid ring.
Thanyou my Great Aunt Hattie!
2 More Faery Garden Residents
Clingling to the exterior wall just below the hollyhocks is Master Stick Bug. His body, which looks more like a very thinly folded gray moth wing (camoflage for bark dwelling) is about 4" long & then he has these long 6 legs!
More devious is Opal the Spider. She is all over opal color and hides in and behind pink daisy blooms. She is deadly to the bee which looks like a fly, or the fly that looks like a bee? She paralyzes the poor things. Once they are still, one can see the beautiful detail of the insect, but . . . . Mother Nature acts in mysterious ways.

Oooo Merrie I don't like stick insects at all ! (I'm sure he's very interesting tho') |
Hummingbird Returns
I haven't seen her since Colleen was here a month ago. She is the classic bright glowing green.
She treated me with about 7 minutes of aerial dance about the mystery-phlox-like plants as she extracted nectar, She wouldn't go for any of the other flowers. No nasturtiums, no asters, no snapdragons-NO THANKYOU- she hummed.

I am so happy that she returned to you dearest Merrie, and especially that you were treated to her pretty, dancing company for a little while... I much appreciate you sharing this gift, especially as I Love Hummingbirds! Be |

(**chuckles**) Where I live here in California, today is one of the first days it actually feels like fall and not summer anymore!!
