    My Etsy Shop.

    Sunday, March 2, 2008, 10:29 AM [General]

I have had a lot of viewers but no sales yet. I have been adding something new to the shop at least once a day. Just finished my second doll and she will be on the site soon. I have decided to add crocheted lace collars to my list of crafts and am working on a shawl type collar. I love it! Made one for myself years ago. I have been working on it while hubby and I watch TV or movies. I really love to work on my dolls and collars when I am watching some of my favorite movies!

    Been missing....so what is new!

    Friday, February 22, 2008, 05:08 PM [General]

I have been dealing with health issues due to the fender bender but am coming along slowly but surely. I have opened an etsy shop and have cards, originals and dolls for sale at this point: www.aheartofmersea.etsy.com . I am working on another doll. I created 4 cloth doll bodies so when I finish one I can go right into another. The one I am making now ... a name hasn't come to me yet but she is wearing a green flowery dress, a hand crochetted bib collar, and black boots. I'm not sure what hair color she will have. I do know she will be carrying a basket with flowers in it.

I am also getting some of my lace collar directions so I can make lady sized collars to sell in my shop. I have many ideas so it shall be fun to get things going!

    What's been going on....

    Monday, February 11, 2008, 05:15 PM [General]

    Feb 10

I haven't blogged in a while, I've been trying to swim which I am having a hard time doing since the accident. I have also been cleaning my office, way too cluttered for me to be able to concentrate on doing anything! I finished Sarah, now I have sewn the body form of three more dolls, I do this while watching TV at night. Now I need to figure out who the girls are and create their costumes.

I decided I would take the weekend off from swimming to see if by Monday my neck and back are feeling better. I have a job Monday afternoon that I would like to get back to doing! I miss my swimming and I miss having a little bit of money coming in!

Yesterday my hubby and I went out to find some more book shelves for my office. I am wanting one that will be facing me at my desk so I can just reach over and pick up a book for inspiration. We hit several stores and found them all to be way expensive... especially Salvation Army! They had two $20 dollar books shelves for $59 each! I think they need to speak to the pricer! Anyhow, finally hubby said we could make one cheaper so we went to Lowes. I had brought a unti that I had designed so we figured out what we needed to make it and today the hubster is out cutting the wood. Later I will stain the wood and then hubby will put it together.

I was shocked at how much wood cost! When I use to make wood products to sell I got the wood for free because the ex was a carpenter and brought home scraps for me to use!

I've been feeling tired the last couple of days, just depleted of energy, I could feel my energy seeping right out of the bottoms of my feet. Hate when that happens!

I am not doing so well. I had gained 5 pounds! Still dealing with the accident nonsense. Went to Dr today and he told me I can't work any jobs that means I have to do physical things like lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting... that means I just lost my main Companion sitting jobs. I hope I get some decent compensation!

    Grumpy yesterday

    Thursday, January 31, 2008, 08:33 AM [General]

I had a bad day yesterday, Morning Dr visit, new Rx, dealing with Insurance company, getting pets meds, Chiropractor, feeling rough and grouchy, and discovered last night I had forgotten to take my Morning regime of meds! I did get some work done on the Portrait of Sarah but not much because sitting with my head looking downward caused a headache.

Other than that.... I am doing great!  LOL

    Another update

    Monday, January 28, 2008, 03:56 PM [General]

Well, according to my x-rays I stretched some ligaments and will not be allowed to work or swim for at least another week. I can go tread water and float around. Have to go to the Chiro every day this week. Boss lady was none too pleased cuz that means she has to take my place caring for a client.

I see what you mean; I was just imagining that the practice in rapid sketch might be an interesting exercise. (Did I already comment this?)

Thanks for the idea, but I was blogging about a physical site, one where the Faeriefest could be held -- But I'll put up an advertising site on Myspace and Facebook and probably set up a webpage eventually.
