About Me: Hello! I have done all sorts of arts and crafts all my life. I am currently an artist in a small museum, where I do everything from small layouts to large exhibit murals. It is a lot of fun! I have been making things for as long as I can remember. I have fallen in love with every medium from Watercolor to Polymer Clay. Currently I am “back to the drawing board” with my colored pencils and pen and inks. I am drawing my own paper dolls in a variety of subjects. I am using classic techniques, and I want my paper dolls to have a timeless, classic feeling. They can be cut out and played with, or framed and displayed. With each work, I try to capture the spark of love I felt when I was small, and saw a paper doll that I could not live without. Some of my favorite subjects are fairies, and I was recently thrilled to have my one of my fairy PD's in the Winter Issue of Faerie Magazine! What a lovely publication!
Music: Bruce Springsteen, 80's, Emmylou Harris, Allison Kraus
Movies: Everything from LOTR to You've Got Mail, but the Princess Bride is my all time favorite!
TV: Right now, I love Corner Gas!
Books: Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book! The Narnia series. All sorts of fiction genres.
Likes: Dogs, any amount of free time, getting excited about a new idea, being in the middle of drawing a new paper doll.
Hobbies: drawing, painting, reading, walking our Great Dane, Fred.

    Overheard on a Saltmarsh

This poem is an old favorite my mother and I used to read together:

    Overheard on a Saltmarsh

Nymph, nymph, what are your beads?

Green glass, goblin. Why do you stare at them?

                            Give them me.

                                         No.

Give them me. Give them me.

                                                 No.

Then I will howl all night in the reeds,
Lie in the mud and howl for them.

Goblin, why do you love them so?

They are better than stars or water,
Better than voices of winds that sing,
Better than any man's fair daughter,
Your green glass beads on a silver ring.

Hush, I stole them out of the moon.

Give me your beads, I want them.

                                                 No.

I will howl in the deep lagoon
For your green glass beads, I love them so.
                            Give them me. Give them.

                                               No.
