    Spring Renewal

Monday, April 13, 2009, 09:17 PM EST [General]

    Photobucket

In the early hours of a new morn, the songbirds awake. Dappled sunlight streams through the branches of tall trees. Flowers show the first of their green leaves, pushing up from their earthen slumber. Once again it is Spring, a time for re-birth and renewal.

    Rescued Cat

Friday, August 22, 2008, 09:41 PM EST [General]

Yesterday morning as my husband and I arrived at work, we noticed a box sitting underneath the picnic table in front of the building. I said, "What the heck is that?" Then out comes this beautiful yet very thin, deep orange kitty and proceeds to rub her head against our legs. I said, "Oh no!" I can't stand to see strays and had already rescued one about 4 years ago from the same place. Needless to say, we named her Sierra and took her home. She is a very sweet and gentle kitty and just gorgeous! She has tabbey markings on her face and front legs and a fluffy tail. Our animal shelters and cat sanctuaries are always filled to capacity. I couldn't stand the idea of this little lady being homeless.

My husband and I will be out of a job soon as the company is moving South. I have been trying so hard to save money and now I have to make a vet apointment for the new arrival. Oh well, a new sweetheart to love and treasure. She is fed, safe and loved.

Thursday, December 13, 2007, 12:53 AM EST [General]

It's almost christmas. I have spent quite some time wrapping presents with beautiful paper, bows and tags. I feel like an elf! I love picking out special gifts for family and friends. I love the gatherings filled with laughter and love, the houses all lit up and decorated. So magickal.

    Hi, Lorri!

Yes, Tom Tit Tot is a scary looking guy. He's quite creepy.

I originally composed the "Tom Tit Tot" illustration as one in a series to accompany Lisa Agnew's article "The Era of Faeries and Dragons", first published in Flashing Swords, then published in the on-line version of Abandoned Towers. Since then, the Tom Tit Tot illustration has also appeared in a couple of different horror e-zines.

I guess you could say Tom gets around.

    Cheers!

    Hi, Lorri!

I'm glad you like my "Dragon". I consider it to be one of my best. Then again, I'm partial to dragons anyway. I've been drawing them for years.

    Cheers!

    Hi, Lorri!

Actually, "Goblins" is an older image, again one I used on a bookmark. The border was added later, a modification of a border from my work processor. In it's current bordered form, it appears on my web site alongside my poem "Inhabitants of the Shadow Realm".

    Cheers!

    Hi, Lorri!

Yes, the unicorn. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of "Unicorn Enwreathed". I sold a black and white version at the local medieval fair, a colour version sans background appears on merchandise in the Abandoned Towers Zazzle Store, and a tonal version appeared in Abandoned Towers Issue 1.

I always thought the design of a unicorn enwreathed by the oak branches worked very well. I guess I was right.

    Hi, Lorri!

Thanks for taking a look at my "Excalibur". Yep, it's mine; it's an old image that I once used on bookmarks I sold at the local medieval fair.

    Cheers!

    Hi Lorri,

Hope all is well with you. I share your love of animals. We would really miss them if they weren't around, since they give us such joy.

Thanks so much for the kind compliments about my art work. It is greatly appreciated. You're very sweet.

    Hugs,

    Hi, Lorri!

I just stumbled across this place last night. I'm glad I did. I just couldn't pass up a network dedicated to the fair folk. And my good neighbours may have had a hand in guiding me here, especially now I know I already have at least one good friend here.

    Cheers!
