Fairy greetings to all fairy believers,
i have just returned from 6 weeks in South africa, visiting my in-laws and helping a childrens' aids orphanage(please read my profile). I have learnt from my experiences there that I should have been more in tune with the fae and tried to understand what they were telling me. As I was about to leave the car at the airport my husband noticed my silver fairy between us on the console . This was from my left earring which I have worn every single day for the last 4 years. I was quite upset, but put in my purse until after my flight. Later I was able to repair it quite successfully and it hasn't broken since! The trip to the orphanage was a truly humbling experience, details of which I shall post on my blog soon.
My experiences with my in-laws was not so .This was the 3rd vsit in a year, the last two being absolutely fine, or so I thought.
This time it was really horrible as they did not approve of myself, husband and daughter helping at the orphanage.Things went from bad to worse, resulting in being made homelesson New Year's eve and having my diabetic medication stolen by my in-laws!
To cut a very long story short we found ourselves in a place called Wilderness in theFairy Know Backpackers, an absolute haven of peace and tranquility.
Because of my love of the Fae I had been called a witch and many other things that I found most amusing, but I felt it was all behind me now.
On our return to Cornwall, the farmer at the bottom of our track informed us that the previous night swome people were seen stealing some of my faires from my garden. They managed to steal a few of them, but threw my large fairy who sits on top of the water but into the ditch.Sadly they placed her under the patio table with her broken wing. Two days later I was tidying up outside and picked my large fairy to examine her to see if she could be repaired. To my surprise her wing was not broken anymore and I returned her to her rightful place! Thankfully the police found my other fairies too.
Please could anyone help me to ba more able to be in tune to listening to these warnings. I feel so bad that I wasn't more aware at the time. I only hope that next time I shall be more prepared.
There is much more to this story ,this is just a brief outline.
Greetings! My name is Jeanne, of WildWoods Art, and I live in the magical Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas, US. I create unique, one of a kind Fairy Doors and soft sculpture dolls. I have been a believer of wee folk and other magical/mystical beings from as far back as I can remember.
My Mother called them "Little People" - whether they be pixies, fairies, brownies I am not sure. But they have always lived with me.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Jeanne
