    Dreams?!

    Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 12:00 PM [General]

Have you ever felt strong emotions, pain or the feeling of objects aroung you in a dream? Last night I had another realistic dream, so realistic that I could feel sadness and fear and even love. I could feel the touch of paper and the softness of fabric on my waist, the touch of a friends hand on my shoulder. And even the heat from an explosion and the feeling of a bullet going through my neck.

I have experienced dreams like this often. But it always surprises me when I wake up. I'm sure there are others that feel these things in there dreams and I wonder if this is a regular thing? Or even if this is something that the brain can do when you sleep? I dont know. But I wonder. Can someone answer my question? Or even share what they have experienced in there dreams.

I think, that the dreaming is as real as the waking. We're just not as good at manifesting our influence there. Like fish flopping on the shore, you might make art in the sand, but most of the time you're just flopping until you wake.
Some people, however are mudskippers. *nod*

What an awesome experience, wow. I too would love to understand more of these things... I've never had such realistic dreams as yours, but apparently I laugh a lot when I'm asleep & have often woken up doing so - just wish I could remember what I found so funny!

I usually have realistic dreams. I think this is common. Of course, they can be good or bad. I have had dreams where I actually believed I died, going through the whole experience, and others where I was in love. The brain is an amazing thing. It is,in my opinion, basically, what I am.
