About Me: I'm a full time artist who makes fantasy dolls and figures from fabrics, fibers and mixed media. I like to make beautiful, mystical and whimsical art dolls because that's the type of art I like to have around me, in my environment, that's what makes me happy. Most of my larger pieces are painted cloth, with a portrait style face drawn with artist pencils and markers. I have no formal art training, but have studied on my own through many hours, weeks, and months of practice, practice, practice...
I'm inspired by nature, books and movies, fairy tales, my children, and other artists such as Brian and Wendy Froud, Alan Lee, Virginia Lee, Arthur Rackham, Edmund Dulac, Adrienne Segur, Palmer Cox, Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone, just to name a few.
