    Dragonic Mysticism

    Thursday, April 25, 2013, 5:22 PM [General]

Hello to all and my apologies for absence, I have been finishing my studies on Dragonic Mysticism. Now for those of you who don't know what this particular form of mysticism is, it is a fairly unknown form of mysticism said to be used by dragons. My teacher has given me permission to enlighten everyone here what it is about. This form of mysticism covers everything from elemental correspondence to the value of a life and even some rituals, and yes divination is talked about. So if you have any questions or live in the southern California area let me know if you are interested in picking up  few things.

The Tale of the Skogsra (revised)

    Monday, September 26, 2011, 7:53 PM [General]

Ok now a Skogsra, or more well known as Sjora, is a Swedish water spirit that lives in the woods and is known either to help men with good hunting or lead them astray. It is always seen in a forest and always by a body of water, most usually looking like a beautiful woman brushing her hair and somtimes having a tail.

There was somthing I was told by my mother's grandmother about a story that she was told by her father.

From the time he was little he went hunting with his father, the boy became an excelent marksman, and by the time he was 16, he had the skills of a veteran twice his age. One day the boy went out to hunt with his dog Kysa and as the dog went for somthing to drink, the boy saw something near the water, it was a beautiful young woman. All he could do was stare for the longest time until he was noticed, so he went over and introduced himself to the young woman. They talked for a while never getting her name.

So the days went on and the boy, who was slowly becoming a man, fell in love with this young woman until one day as he went into the woods and saw her with someone else. Our young man became furious and confronted her, she became furious and suddenly disappered. On his way home it became extremely dark and he and Kysa lost their way. Two days went by and still no way out of the woods, then somthing caught his eye, 'twas the woman he had fought with and thought he loved.

He goes to talk with her and to apologize about his behavior and sees a tail out of nowhere, well actually out of the back of her dress, so he asked her about it and she became very angry and slapped  him across the face, cutting him so he yelled at her and ran off. Three more days went by and still he could not find his way home out of the woods. Finaly after 5 days, home at last. He runs inside and tells his father about what has happened and his father told him what he had met and he understood. Years later he fell in love with a romanian girl and lived a long and happy life in America but could never forget the face of the woman he almost gave his heart to, and a scar he could never forget.

    Druids,Rune casting and Religion

    Friday, February 25, 2011, 7:43 PM [General]

Hello again everybody, long time no see and I'm happy to be back on here. I have been away for training, training to be a druid. Now what do you think when you hear of druids: Sacrificing animals, and praying to gods no one else thinks exists (except for the people on here), right, almost. Druids were and still are medicine-men figures, the village elders and sort. While in the days of old they did ritual sacrifices of animals while praying to their gods for help with the year, they also did something we know as rune casting.

Rune casting goes all the way back to the B.C. times and is alot like terot cards. But! tarot cards were only produced in the renaissance time, in fact the only thing older then rune casting is stick casting. Does anyone know a stick caster? Ya thought so. And unlike terot cards, which are mass populated to make money off those who "want to see their future," are more on playing into the minds of people and try to show a definite answer, rune casting is more, "if you do this then this could hapen," you know suggestive and general. I believe rune casting is a wee bit more accurate because nothing is certain, and if you only suggest it is more likely to happen. As the wise general Iroh said (in the avatar series), "one often meets his destiny on the path he chooses to avoid it," so if its gonna happen, its gonna happen, rune casting just gives you a heads-up.

Now as far as religion goes, it doesn't matter who you pray to or who you believe in, rune casting can work. Look I'm christian and I pray to God and ONLY to God, and yes rune casting can be seen as pagan practice(which it origionaly was), but can still be used for your beliefs. A good rune caster will ask his higher power yes thats right HIGHER power not just Thor, Odin or any of the other gods associated with runes. I ask God to show me what he wants. So that makes runes an oralce, like the bible or any other thing or person used to help.

There we covered what druids are, what runecasting is and the religiouse parts of it. let me know your feedback, I THRIVE on it and it lets me know what the people on here think. Until next time this is PhantomAngel, signing off.

Irish sayings, blessings and proverbs. section 1 pt. 2b

    Thursday, February 4, 2010, 3:34 PM [General]

May you never forget what  is worth remembering, or remember what is best forgotten.

May God bring good health to the enemies of your enemies.

Friend of my soul, this goblet sip 'twill chase the pensive tear,

'Tis not so sweet as woman's lips, but oh , 'tis more sincere.

A tosat to your coffin. may it be of 100 year old oak. And may we plant it together, tomorrow.

May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.

There are good ships, and wood ships, the ships that sail the sea. But the best ship is friendship, and may it always be.

My apologies for having such a large gap between posts. I was in the military and now I'm out. If you have any questions or any wanted sayings let me know.

    sláinte mhaith to you all.

That's great ! I've read it. I've particulary appreciated the author bind the intiatic tale with druidic learning. The extra-9 is a nice name ;) Why do you not use the 5 others (Wolfangel, Erda, Ul, Ziu & Sol) ? Because the extra-version is more balanced ? I find this 33 really useful too whereas I prefer the 39 (with "Wyrd" one). You consider Gar as the center, don't you ? Have you a favourite book on Runes ? I've read about 30s on the subject but one of the most interessing I've found is Nigel Pennick. and you ?

I see we have some interest in common ;) I fond of celtic culture, interested in norse one too (in my view norse isn't really celtic althought these two cultures are close). Do you like celtic music too ? Can you advice me your best druidic reading (I have read some books but too many are interesting !) ?

Here, it's the ancient germanic Futhark. But I use too differents Futhark and Futhork. My favourite is the English one with the northumbrian Runes (Ac, Os, Yr, Ior, Ear, Cweorth, Calc, Stan, Gar, Wolfangel, Erda Ul, Ziu, Sol). But I keep Ansuz/As in the fourth place, so for me, it's a Futhark. I use the controversial Wyrd "Rune" too so 39 ones. I do a little practice with 18 and 16 Futhork but theyr aren't my favourite... And you ?

Each of them have a description of their properties in the alphabet of Magus. In sum : Turquoise amazonite : peace, meditation... Quartz Rose : Love, dreams, protection... Labradorite : energy, purification, healing, balance... Amethyste : transmutation, spirituality... Jaguar's Stone (Leopard Jasper) : shamanism, energy, integrity...

The Aegishjalmur is a great symbol of power and irrestitibily. In fact, is made with 8 elhaz (for each direction or wind) so it's a mighty sign of protection too. The 3 * 8 lines behind elhaz represent the 24 Runes of the ancient Futhark. In sum, it's a really meaningful symbol. You are fond of celtic cultur, aren't you ? (nice celtic cross ^^)
