(In choosing to engage with others in the training and development of potentially lethal techniques, one must have complete trust in the other person. Otherwise such activities would have brought about their own demise centuries ago. Allowing your training partner the illusion of control up to a point allows for development of a trusting environment that surpasses that found in other environments.) If you are still not convinced.
