I was asked by a publisher friend to illustrate a novel for one of his writers and so the journey begins. I've illustrated short stories before--mostly just my own--but never have I done a project this big.
So far I've been taking it one step at a time and trying to go slow. But the days are running short and the deadline looms in one week! I have five drawings finished and three more to go--plus the back and front cover.
I like the way most of them have turned out. Not all, but most (above are the ones I can look at without feeling ill). I was hoping to have time to go back and redo the first two, but it looks like I'm stuck with them for now. Oh, well. Now to just work the front and back covers and I'll feel loads better.
I've just got to get rid of this blasted cold that attacked last night...Uhg!
