i'm so looking forward to october the 3rd ... i have a stall at the faery fayre in glastonbury! hopefully at which i will see lots of art  and jewellery (see pic below for a little sample)

then, there's the ball in the evening, which will be soooo much fun!!!

i'm so pleased i've finally finished the painting i was working on ... she has proved to be a bit of a challenge (being a partial self portrait), but i love how she has come out.

thought i'd share her with you guys first!

today started off well, and then the cloud came! it really doesn't feel like the solstice (don't know why i'm surprised really based on the last 2 summers we've had).

anyway, i'm feeling good because my latest painting is nearly finished .. i'm just working on some finishing touches. but i always feel kinda sad when they're done .. which is pretty silly.

i had an interesting trip out today too, i attended the re-burial of a bronze age woman. i helped out on an archaeological dig a couple of years ago ... we were digging a bronz age round barrow and we found an urn with a cremation (so exciting!!) anyway, she is back from being anyalysed and we put her back into her barrow today. it was very humbling really - she was first buried nearly four thousand years ago ... makes you think ...
