The Cool and Mystical Days of Spring

    Saturday, May 17, 2008, 06:09 PM [General]

Yesterday was a misty swirling dream...On most days of the year, I live for the sunshine and shun the cool and damp; the days of mist and fog are different, and so entrancing.  While somber shadows may emerge from the unseen depths of grey obscurity, so, too, may the proud sillouettes of battle-worn knights and untamed maidens, astride steeds of incomparable ruthlessness and glory.

Never stop seeing what others say does not exist.

Peace to all in love, life, twilight, and vision.

    Faerie Dwellings

    Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 06:47 AM [General]

Good morning to all in my new enchanted community!

My passion is to create faerie dwellings and habitats out of bits of dried materials that I find as I traipse through the fields and forest around my home.  I also use found and repurposed odds and ends that have somehow managed to become part of my belongings over the years, as well as live plant materials from my husband's lovely home-based nursery (www.mosswoodgardens.com) when the impulse seizes me.

My original intention was to sell my faerie dwellings, as I know there are many homeless faeries, particularly in urban areas, whose human neighbors are at a loss as to what they can do to show their appreciation of all things enchanted.  I actually do have the Siren Song and Elvenlore Forest Faerie Dwellings for sale in my etsy shop (there are other items of mine there, too) at www.MWGardens.etsy.com.  The problem, of course, is that as soon as I have finished a faerie dwelling (which is a very time-intensive process), it almost immediately becomes inhabited by the enchanted folk around me, even though they have perfectly nice homes of their own! Ah, well, at least I do manage to hide a few every now and again for less fortunate wee folk!
