    Life - My Interpretation

    Monday, November 26, 2007, 04:08 PM [General]

Life is sacred.  It is the greatest gift God gave us all and it should be treated accordingly.  Each life has it's place and it's purpose and it should be respected and recognized for what it is.  Each life has value and it should not be squandered because of the limitations that are placed upon it - by you or anyone else.  Without growth, it will not reach it's full potential and possibilities will become long forgotten dreams.  Celebrate life - the good things and the bad - because living is meant to teach you something.

Honor is life.  Treat others with kindness and respect - even if you have to grit your teeth to do it.  Be considerate of others because they have feelings too.  Be true to your word and do not give it if you cannot keep it.  Be honest - even if you are afraid of hurting someone's feelings.  Honesty is what the other person needs to hear if they are blind to what is.  Do not apologize for being honest, but understand that people should be treated gently.  If love is what motivates you, tell them so.

Choose to be both a student and a teacher because ignorance is not bliss.  Encourage others to grow by sharing what you have learned while allowing yourself to benefit from what others can teach you.  True wisdom comes from knowing you don't know everything and delighting in the discovery of something new and inspiring - and not being afraid to admit you have knowledge that might spark similar feelings in someone else.

When the shit hits the fan, remember the ones you love - and those who love you - because they are the ones who will see you through.  The ties of love will give you strength to hold yourself up until you can stand on your own again.  Do not forget to love yourself enough so you don't lose hope, because the path to despair is long, lonely and terribly dark. Along with harm none, remember you should not harm yourself.

Do not be afraid to stand up for yourself or what you believe in.  Truth is a matter of perception and you should only be concerned about your own.  Respect the truths of others and do not ignore the possibilities that come along with seeing things from another's point of view. Keep an open mind and remember there will be times when it is best to agree to disagree.

Fear has it's place, but don't let it overrule your good sense.  Fear can blind you to many things - both within yourself and in the outside world - sometimes to your detriment and sorrow.  Have the courage to face your fears and put them in their proper place.  Life without fear is where joy truly lives.

True joy comes from finding peace within your spirit.  Accept who you are - good things and bad - because you are unique and there is no one else in the world like you.  Take pride in your strengths and acknowledge your weaknesses because they are both a part of who you are.  Follow your heart and always do what is right for YOU.

It is YOUR life -  own it and accept responsibility for it.  Live free, but harm none unless they threaten you or yours - then all bets are off.

Wow, Scatha Silverdragon, thank you for your writing here and setting out your beliefs, I've enjoyed reading what you had to say, especially your last line! We warmly welcome you here to EF. What a great list of music and films, I can relate well to many of your choices and others have evoked fond memories that I had temporarily forgotten - much appreciated.
Smiles, as I just love that kitten!
