Just a lil about this groupe then, i decided to create it for everyone out there like me who belives in fairys ect but has never really let anyone so here is a groupe/place were you can get to no other people that also belive and you can learn that you are not alone =D so enjoy!!
Thank you Emma for beginning this special group, I think it is a wonderful idea!
I'm 43 now and until about 4 years ago, when I had the original idea to bring over Amy Brown's first books from the USA to share with folk like me, and I Do Believe was born - I hadn't Ever spoken to Anyone about my Belief in Faerie... (I wrote more about this in my blog about Amy on 5/9/07)
So I am Thrilled to bits that lovely young things like you can be open about it Now, while you're deciding what to do with your lives. In fact, I'm becoming rather tearful as I'm so happy for you all - this is exactly why we began this enchanted space, for brave ones like you and maybe not so brave ones that still want to hear what you have to say...
Magical Good Fortunes to you, I shall dip into your group with the greatest of pleasure!
Hello my fellow fae fanciers. I thought I'd join up and post my curious take on openly expressing a belief in the fae.
Offline, face to face with people, I've no problems expressing my thoughts on the fae & nature folks. I've discovered most folks enjoy a heartened discussion on the wee ones. ;)
(Although there is only 2 people that I discuss my deepest personal feelings about this with.)
Online, I rarely mention it, if at all in most of the communities I frequent. When someone asks about the elementals, I do post links & book titles to info on fae & nature folks, but I avoid like the plague expressing my personal feelings. I've gotten good at being objective online, especially in the para/crypto communities, they can be quite harsh & condescending.
It's been my experience that The para/crypto hunters want the info/history, but don't want any feelings or further thoughts attached to it. It's quite odd.
To me, It's remarkable the difference in stigma of the online world as compared to the easier going offline world. You'd think it would be just reverse? I think that's interesting.
