I have been meaning to start my blog for ages and then Merrie Fae suggested I write about the stars I found last summer :-)
I had heard about a little well where stars can be found. I love all things starry - I even have some tattoed on my right foot.
It sounded magickal and I wanted to find the well with my hubby Chris and my sons Rune and Roman. So, finally 5 years later we managed to go looking for it - we live in Kent and the well is near Chippenham.
So on a lovely hot afternoon in July we set out with an ordnance survey map to Cross Keys. We then found a field which we were sure must be where the well was. I was a bit surprised to find huge pylons running through it and cowpats everywhere. To say I had romantised what I would find is an understatement! It was soooo boggy! We searched and searched and finally found a little water outlet above the stream that runs through the field. We sieved the water but found nothing. I was a little disappointed. so the boys suggested we look further upstream. They went to the source of the stream to look after struggling through brambles and nettles! Still nothing.
We checked everywhere! In the end Chris could see I was really feeling deflated so we went back to the car to check our co ordinates by finding Stowell Farm (Stowell - Star Well!!!) We were definitely in the right field. We went back to the little spring we had found and again looked and sieved. Then i noticed a little star on one of the surrounding rocks. Well, I was quite happy then, we had found 'Star Well'. Still no stars though. It was then I said that at least this must be the place and I feel happy that we have found a star and I believe this is where the stars are. Then I noticed something floating in the water - a star!!!! As I looked closer I could see another little star floating to the top of the water!!!
It was so beautiful and amazing. We then sat and watched little stars appear in the water! As you can see from the pix we caught some stars. It was such a magickal experience and was well worth the wait :-)

Amazing & TRUE! Freya sent me a teensy bottle of the stars in glittered water. They are about 1/8" in diameter, charcoal gray, wonderfully symmetrical with 5 definite points. I keep the little bottle on my coffee table with my special stones.
