A priest was tired of all the coughing in his church while he was preaching, so he bought a bottle of cough mixture and decided that he would give it to anyone who coughed during his sermoan.  Thr next Sunday someone coughed so he stopped preaching, gave him a teaspoon of medicine and whispered in his ear.

The person got up and walked out. This went on until the church was almost empty.

After the service the church warden asked the pastor what he said that emptied the church.

"All I said was ‘for cough'," he replied.
