[Solder]
Oh! I completely forgot to show the cool part! Say the wearer wants to slip into, oh I don't know, the Republican convention maybe, or some other mundane human event, and not show the magickal bits of poetry hanging around her neck...you know...incognito? She can just flip it over. The back is just irridescent blue glass!
Plain ol' blue glass necklace...yep, pretty normal here...no faeries hangin' out with the humans...(whistle innocently here)

Well...I had a mutiny on the studio table the other day, and the bracelet bits took a vote. They decided to be a necklace, and no matter how I poked and prodded, they would not conform. So here they are in their debut...as a necklace! I often find the inanimate objects winning...sigh...

Ok...a couple more steps done. I covered the edges with solder, added the jump rings, and antiqued the smaller pieces. They aren't polished yet, but when they are, some of the black will come off, and they will shine again in places. The smaller ones are going to be a bracelet, the larger ones are destined to become a necklace. The other stuff in the pic is just to impress everyone!!! Ha Ha
Next I add multiple chains, wire-wrapped stuff, beads, shells, crystals, buttons, fiber, dingly-danglies (that's a technical term)...whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. Since I think I am figuring out the blog thing, more pics later.

OK...I am experimenting to see if I can figure out this blog thing well enough to put up WIP reports with pics. If this works, you are seeing the result of steps...uh...1ish through 4ish of making a piece of soldered glass jewelry. It is to the point where the glass pieces with the collage inside have been wrapped with copper tape. Next is the fun part...heating the up soldering iron and melting things!!! More pics later...uh..probably...
