About Me: I am a very shy, sensitive soul who loves people, animals, angels, faeries, unicorns, books, flowers, trees, birds, butterflies, teddy bears, hearts, rainbows, bright colors, and all things magical and mystical.
I'm an artist of the heart (i.e., a philosopher, writer, and healer). I heal through my gifts of Love and Joy. I don't earn a living with any of these things, however (at least, not yet). In truth, I don't earn any money at all! I'm a stay-at-home mom who simply earns hugs and kisses and smiles for now. Once upon a time (B.K. -- before kids), I was a children's librarian. I love children and children's literature. I am still a child myself, only I live in a grown-up body. This makes it kind of difficult to find my place in the world sometimes -- I don't seem to fit in anywhere. I collect children's books and teddy bears and many other childhood things. I have been accused of living in my own little world, but I don't mind -- I'm not alone here. The angels and faeries and unicorns live with me here. Love is my religion. I am very spiritual, but I do not go to church. I worship God and Mother Earth within the temple of my heart. I'm also vegan.
Music: Celtic, folk.
Movies: Fairy tales, old and new.
TV: I don't watch TV very often.
Books: Tolkien, Harry Potter, spiritual books, A Course in Miracles, children's books of all kinds!
Likes: Acts of kindness, displays of gratitude, windchimes blowing in the gentle breezes, storms, crystals, brightly colored objects and clothes, staying up late, getting up early, and taking long naps in the sunshine with my kitties and teddy bears.
Dislikes: Cooking and cleaning, dietary rules and fashion rules! I'm also not very fond of the cold. :P
Hobbies: I like to read, watch movies, write, daydream, go for walks in nature, decorate and/or accessorize in my own quirky, whimsical way. I also do a bit of crafting and enjoy putting buttons, bows, and stickers on everything! :o)
Vices: I adore sweets (especially chocolate!)!!! I also love coffee, but I only drink decaf, and I have to be careful, even with that.
Virtues: Loving and forgiving to a fault, compassionate, and empathetic.
Heroes: Mr. Rogers, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet, my parents, my children, Mother Teresa, Gandhi, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Therese of Lisieux, and all the "everyday people" who show love and kindness to others in a billion, tiny little ways every day!

LylithJust stopping by to say hi! I was reading through your profile again and I so identify with living in one's own world. I too love nature animals, the woods and streams and all of nature's beauty. I feed the animals in the woods behind my house and am always being accused of living in my own world. There's a T-Shirt that says "I live in my own little world, but that's ok - they know me here." Thought you might identify. :)
