About Me:
What the Faerie Child is:
∴an incredibly small creature of human appearance. Very misleading.
∴from Boston. So don't mess with her, kay? XD
∴in complete love with Salem, Massachusetts!
∴"...not at home to Mr. Grumpy, your majesty..."
∴the Lady of the Library, the Pagemaster, and the Keeper of the Written Word.
∴...kind of bored right now.
∴a caffeine fiend! ::attacks coffee::
∴the essence of indecision. She may be everything. She may be nothing. Hell, she may even be you.
∴a freaking fairy princess. Disagree and amphibitize.
∴something like a banana. Except maybe not.
∴in love with the word lackadaisically! Isn't it great? ^.^
∴4'11" of pure, concentrated awesome.
What the Faerie Child is not:
∴from here. Her accent should be proof enough.
∴in love with the South. In fact, she hates it and would like to go home now, please.
∴an axillary character. She's the freaking antagonist!
∴logical. Because if she was, the would would disappear, ergo the sky is not pink and fish do not fly.
∴generous. She seems to have missed the Sharing Day of kindergarten; if it's hers, it's hers.
∴fond of bright light. Eeek!
∴a poet. Poetry is dead... and she's helping to put it out of its misery.
∴a cat. So don't pet her.
∴someone to spend hours on the phone.
What the Faerie Child enjoys:
∴writing in secluded corners.
∴going down old, country roads on a whim, only to change her mind and head back to the city.
∴listening to really heavy music really loud and making people think that she's this scary person... only to pass them wearing pigtails, barely able to see over the steering wheel.
∴going to Dunkies at nine thirty at night with her friend Miur to steal their WiFi, knowing that the lobby closes at ten.
∴pretending she doesn't work at the library, even though she really does. She gets a kick out of it when people ask her for assistance, only to say "Oh... I don't really work here. But shh, payroll hasn't caught on to it yet."
∴the simple things, like reading under trees on warm days, writing during early-morning thunderstorms, a good cup of coffee, and pretending she had wings while going up the stairs.
∴making up characters :D
∴silly, romantic sorts of things.
What the Faerie Child does not enjoy:
∴loud, obnoxious people. She prefers to be either surrounded by her own loud, obnoxious people (who are loud and obnoxious for her) or to be surrounded by quiet people, but not other loud, obnoxious people.
∴people who cannot drive. If you have trouble maintaining a constant speed or can't seem to back up or stay in your own lane, please stay off the road.
∴PeoPle wh0 spel LiK3 tHis. Grammar should be absolutely necessary for life.
∴rude people.
∴mean dogs, and mean cats for that matter. She has enough problems with people having attitudes, let alone animals. Oh, and goats. She doesn't like goats.
∴the Faerie Child also doesn't approve of Bible-bashing. If your church is so great, why don't you have more people coming?
∴American youths. Why is it now popular to look like you just rolled out of bed with a random hooker? (She honestly doesn't get it.)
Music: I enjoy anything from Luminescent Orchestrii and Josh Groban to Cradle of Filth and Nevermore. I'm very lax in my musical preferences, so any of my mixed CDs are bound to jump from one genre to the next within a few minutes ^.^
Movies: I'm a Jim Henson nerd to the maximum, the Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, and Mirrormask are all my highest favorites. Oh, yes, and of course there's Lord of the Rings which pulls a close second.
TV: I don'****ch television.
Books: As a librarian there are many, many, many, many-many-many-many books that I absolutely lose myself in. Clive Barker and Charles de Lint have to be my utmost favorite authors, however.
Likes: See my About Me section.
Dislikes: See above.
Hobbies: Writing, working, and playing the Sims is pretty much all I do.
Vices: I like my solitude.
Virtues: I'm quiet, low-maintance, and can fit into teeny-weeny spaces.
Heroes: Jim Henson and my mother.
Greetings !!!
