About Me: I run a Fantasy figurine reference website for collectors called www.thesorcererslibrary.com that showcases certain fantasy ranges of dragons, wizards and faeries. I also run the official website for Andrew Bill (www.andrewbill.com) who is a fantasy sculptor, plus i run a website for a pirate re-enactment group called the Sea Thieves (www.sea-thieves.com) and just to keep me busy i also have another site for my photography of Gothic architecture etc... called www.decadence.me.uk but i'm way behind with updating it :(

Wow! October the 21st since i last logged in on here :( i feel so guilty!

Sorry to those i haven't replied to since that date! ive been so busy looking after my dad and doing website stuff that it went out of my mind!

Well i'm still alive, ive been adding new sections to my dragon/fantasy figurine website which seems to have been heavily getting over run with fairys, so i've just added more wizards and dragons to redress the balance a bit :)

I will try and update more often from now and i hope everyone is well

Who is Briar?

Well i'm not doing too well at keeping this thing updated am i? :(

A lot of my time has been took up with my websites and looking after my sick dad who is slowly going down hill day by day :(

Anyway, the purpose of this post is this... Every year around this time when people are trying their best not to think of Christmas but at the same time trying to be prepared for it, I think of getting Yule cards and every year it's Briar cards i think of, but who is Briar? i can't find anything about the artist at all other than the stock text on loads of different retailers websites "Reproduced from original paintings by Briar, one of England's leading mythological artists" I've been told that they are male but last year when i did the same search i found one site saying male and another saying female! i've asked around and no one knows who they are!

So, does anyone on here know? They have four brand new Yule cards out this year but i still cant find out any info about them at all :(

First of all i am very sorry to hear about your dad, must be very hard for you. My thoughts are with you.

As for Briar i have a few images of his myself but don't know who the artist is, if i find out i will let you know........

I see, that makes a lot more sense :)

I am actually very happy with Pacific Trading's quality and would love if they could make them. They are only able to make useful object for now. My figurines were made by someone else.

I think it might have made more sense to call is "Artist Series" or something similar since I was always confused about whether the "site" was used to in the sense of "website" or something else.

Unfortunately my rights for figurines are tied up for a little while longer. There were a couple released and I'm not sure whether the rest will be :( I would like to find someone to make higher quality figures after that.

Wow....you are a busy one! Thanks for looking into my little dragons, I am newer to this 'blogging' stuff. I just need to find ways to get my Elemental Drgons story out there (and maybe get some sells). This groups seems to one of the nicer ones that I have run into.

I totally understand what you're saying about the old Amy Brown Signature Series pieces - the inconsistency in quality has caused us no end of difficulties in the past but having said that people do still want to collect them. There is no comparison between the new and the old.

Since we have collected many dragonsite pieces ourselves and obviously have the new Amy Brown pieces as well, I can honestly say that I think the new pieces are of an extremely high standard in both the quality of the resin used and the paint work. I think the detail is far better than that of the most recent Dragonsite pieces I have seen.
