The iron is all around me, I can feel it in the ground and in the buildings. It itching and make me shiver.. feever?
I came to ye door this morning, when the sparov sat on the branch and sang for the raising sun. I reached for the door but.. what have they done? I pushed I pulled but the door wouldn't go up as before.
There was this little box next to the door, I couldn't touch it.. It was iron. There was numbers on it and strange little lights. I looked through the window on the door looked at the corridor I used to walk, taking the stairs up to where ye live.
Please wakeup, please come out to me.. to us. They have put up bars between us. Why have ye people done this? I will asked the sparov to sing for ye and ye friends. To tell the storie and to wake ye up. We need ye.. next time I nring cookies too..
I haven't been around for along time I guess (Watching the changes in the leafs tells me that then is not now) The spin of the world has gone to fast for me and I lost... Aye I have to admite I lost it somehow. That happy smile, that tingling and funny rushes.. its like a dream. But there are something good around too, since this I have now in the past few nights and days been able to talk about it and someone has found a intressted to help.. I hope its true help and not that typical learn and expose as humans usualy do.
I hope this enchanted space on-line has a wonderfull life and smiles...
I have started to ponder to take up some writtings again, and guess what of course that metal box died on me.. with all that text I have written ... Well well hope things will turn out better and I can bring life to that thing....
Fair Folk a anthology with six tales, it's wonderful and again this too as Hollys books it's a flow in the stories. The text is simple and easy to read and still the diffrent authors succeed to bring in so much details and atmospher.
The other is Faery Reel, have yet not read it but can say as much that it seem to be a great one. Favvo Holly has a story there and of course Gaiman, the others I have not read but I think they too are surly great.
I still seek more books to read..
about fa'ae, novels with them, peoples encounters, faiths within, wishes for the fa'ae and folk lore and so on. I hope I will be able to find something from Cornwall have one friend living near. But its hard to find stores online, couse google seem to be made of people that have turned back to the Old Ways and seem to think money money is more importand, so the results of searching there are mostly bad sites that has nothing but only tags with fa'ae about.
I have now read Tithe and Valiant and waiting to get me hands on Ironside. So what are this?
They are the wonderful books written by Holly Black and has the under under title - A Modern Tale of Faerie - It's about the Fa'ae living around us and v-e-r-y close, both in and around the large cities of iron and humans way of destroying the world.
Holly writes very good the text has a wonderful flow and it's easy to understand and follow, even for someone like meself were the native tongue isn't English. So now one might wonder what does one lose in the text? I would say nothing cause there is lots of details, lots of atmosphere and wonders.
Today I bought a couple of boos kind of anthology like The fair folk that has six novels, I have just start to read it and so far its good. The other one is Faery Reel and in that book there is a novel by Holly Black and Neil Gaiman.
I have been playing different kind of games for a long time, but one evening in August some years back I found something wonderful. The role-playing game called Faery's Tale from Firefly http://www.firefly-games.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=25
this is a wonderful game with simple rules to take care of spending essences and such things. They have put everything into the storytelling and keeping it all easy so anyone at any age can join in and have fun.
I have yet not played this game, but I have spent time reading the core book and checked out the stories (adventures) and to me this seem to be a great game. Here is a review on the game that I think covers most of the important things.
