Allo, tis me

I'm back from my excursion and a little bit worse for wear but I survived all the idosyncracies (fey and otherwise)
of being put up in strange houses; greasy meals and tests of my wheat intolerance, pouring rain and doggie love
and attention from the resident canines of said houses, and an almost flat tire from a slow leak that refuses to
show itself. Ack. And the enthusiasim I had before for house cleaning is gone, pouf.

But I had some time to clear my head, work on a beading project and spend too much for bargains in a bookstore
that was closing and way more than I expected in in a fabulous bead store I found. I haven't finished the bracelet
but I hope to get some pictures posted soon.

Well, it is starting to get really warm here so I decided it was time to turn my part of the house upside down for some cleaning. One day I might even make room for a real studio instead of having to sit on the bed with a drawing board! And now there is an extra couch in the dining room er, hehe I think the junk lady from Jareth's labyrinth paid a hose call and left some things here for storage er, heh, but anyway.

I am hoping I will get another project done after I go visiting next week. Alas I finally realized what is really important and decided to quit my paying job. Garage sales and tax refunds will keep me going for a while. It's going to be an adventure.

A friend and I were sharing some of our old work and I got to thinking of all the slides I have of my own stuff. I wanted to share them but the only inexpensive slide scanner I could find was back ordered for 4 months and well some of the pieces I did back then are no longer in existance (long and painful story.)

Well, time to go.

I've posted a picture of my new felted piece I wanted to share. The theme was Sun, Moon, Stars and I came up with a celestial dragon. I will probably polish it with a few more details and hang it on my door. Not sure what I will be doing next. Some bead projects might be in order.

I know it is a bit late in the day (I've been busy shopping, eating corned beef and cabbage and then I had to work tonight.) But I did not want one of my favorite days to go by without happy wishes. I'm half Irish and I probably still have some ties to folks there but it has been several generations since anyone looked up the lineage. I would love to visit someday. Had the opportunity in college and didn't take it, forever sorry.

The wacky wandering Raven

Allo, the Raven is still here. In spirit anyway and covered in faerie dust!

I have had some computer trouble and I desperately need high speed, ack! I made some updates to my profile since I have had a bunch of new friend requests, wow. I am starting some new needle felting and I have been working away at my fiction writing. One day soon I will get to posting some pictures and writings but I am a big procrastinator. I would love to be able to afford a high powered computer and try digital art but they say that is hard.

I hope to be around here more. I just might be since I am quitting my toxic  job that has gone corporate and seeing if I can live of my art for a while.
