    Our George on the radio!

Monday, June 7, 2010, 06:15 PM GMT [General]

As you know last week was very important to the Montague family - both our boys appeared on stage in Our House - the musical. We were there at every performance and I have to say, it was awesome! So good in fact that many of the audience were surprised it was not a professional production. An amazing achievement by all involved but especially George, who had 27 costume changes during the show and was never off stage for more than a minute.

Anyway as part of the run up to the event George was interviewed on BBC Radio Gloucestershire by Claire Carter about the show and his own music. This was broadcast on Saturday and anyone who would like to listen to it can find it on the BBC iPlayer or can follow this link

George's interview last approxiamately 30 minutes at the beginning of the show and finishes with Claire playing one of his own compositions.

    Well done George!

Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 04:06 PM GMT [General]

I am so excited. Well not just me, Be is beside herself aswell. Our two boys - George and Tim are starring in the Musical 'Our House'. It's a fantastic show that uses the fantastic music of Madness - hits like 'Baggy Trousers', 'It Must Be Love', 'House of Fun', 'It's Raining Again' and of course - 'Our House' are all part of the show. In total 15 Madness tracks are used.

George plays the lead - Joe Casey and Tim plays one of his best friends Emmo.

If you have the chance to get to the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham this week then please come along because I guarrantee you won't be disappointed. The box office number is 0844 5610547.

The show opens on Thursday June 3 until Saturday.

Come on, put on your baggy trousers and visit our house!

    A Rare Blog

Friday, August 21, 2009, 08:08 AM GMT [General]

I have noticed that several people are concerned by members who join and may not contribute regularly or restrict access to their details, making it difficult to befriend them.

I confess! I am the worlds worse at blogging and contributing - apologies but...

I am sure these people have their reasons. If a new member is under 18 you will not be able to see their details - it's a security thing and they have to make the first move.

Secondly, and this is the crux of my blog, you would be surprised at the number of people who have joined EF and have never joined a social network before. For some it takes great courage to open up to strangers. Some don't fully understand how to set things up, some may not have time to do it all in one day and some may think they have set things up one way and mistakenly ticked the wrong boxes. Whatever the reason, as far as I am concerned, they can take as long as they like getting a feel for the place before exposing themselves, so to speak.

We monitor the site closely looking for those who would wish harm or spam and those people are weeded out as soon as possible. Thanks to all of you aswell for your own vigilance with this.

Many people arrive here after terrible experiences elsewhere. Some have been pursued across other networks and bullied by people in the faery art world who prefess to be sweetness and light but underneath harbour some dark resentment towards their perceived success. Whatever the reason they arrive at EF, all have one thing in common, that they are looking for a home - a place to belong and if EF is for them they will stay. If not, so be it.

Gentle souls need to understand and trust this is a safe place, a haven from the full frontal assault that life can sometimes be and not an 'in your face' network.

All are welcome, those who stay tend to find great friends.

Very well put....thank you for pointing out all these perspectives. (Love your new profile picture, too)

This might be an excellent little "link to" from the home page, perhaps just at the top of the blog column, where people might consider it and be aware of where others might be coming from.

Having no other blog or history, this is all new to me. I wondered too why others were like this, but with your experience can understand now.

    Thank you for supporting George

Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 10:22 PM GMT [General]

Thank you to all those EF members who have taken time to support George and his music on

http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/have_you_met_george   and voted for him on the site.

The final day for voting in the competition is September 14 and we have been voting everyday!

The comments that have been left for him there have been truly inspiring for George.

We know he really appreciates them, as do we.

He is already composing and writing more great songs as a direct result of this welcome encouragement...

Once this part of the competition has closed, we though you might like to know that you can still follow this young man's promising career and hear his new work:

    through his Myspace

It wasn't long after my brother and I started reading "The Complete Sherlock Holmes" that A&E started re-running those BBC episodes on TV. We were spellbound. Actors don't usually replace the characters as I see them in my imagination, but Brett and Hardwicke will always be Holmes and Watson to us!
