    Adventures among the Commons....

Saturday, April 19, 2008, 07:46 PM CST [General]

Its been a while since Ive posted, but Ive been away, and mostly occupied, with the day to day workings of making handcrafted things and selling them to travelers who happen upon my peddlers cart, and now that things have slowed down a wee bit.... I thought I would put out my campfire, pack up my trinkets and head back to the beloved little hovel that I call home!

Its a small place, but then Im a woman of a somewhat small stature (just tall enough as to milk my miniature goat without the need of a steeping stool), and its all Ive ever known and the place I look forward to when Im far, far away.

I managed to earn a few coins during my travels from hurried travelers who took pity on a small woman supposedly stranded all alone on such a long country road, and that was just about all there were these past couple weeks.... apparent strangers to these lands, traveling to or fro I could never determine, and always in such a hurry to get to the place they know nothing about.  Thank the heavens for my trusted goat, Oolie, who kept me company during these past weeks, and truly was a cherish companion.

But Im now home again, and enjoying a hearty bowl of stew by the warmth of an small yet comforting fire.... and the morrow I shall count my blessings, as well as my coins, and plan out my next adventure!

    Blissful blessings,

    Nikki/Whisperwillow

Warm gentle greetings dear Whisperwillow & thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story with us, I loved it! (Having had a -rescue- goat myself, I know how companiable they can be, though he was big with horns & an amazing orange coat, if you bent down he'd put his hooves on your back & knock you over! Thomas was terrified of thunderstorms too;) You have a very special way with words Nikki, & I really look forward to reading more magical adventures with Oolie...
