About Me: Woodland Tales is comprised of a husband & wife team with over 25 years experience in the Entertainment Industry. Jay is a seasoned accomplished musician, his musical talents range from hard rock to experimental ambient music. He also has a background in sound engineering. He is responsible for all the production work on all of Woodland Tale’s stories. He now plays with his band Counterbalance in the Bay area. Cheri is the voice behind the scenes. She has worked as an actress in theaters & Shakespeare festivals for many years, additionally she has worked as a make-up artist on several theater productions. In the past few years she has written a monthly local newsletter and is currently working on some original short stories and local theater productions. Woodland Tales began on a whim. It was a cold November night in the hills of the Redwood Forest, with very little money in the bank and on a quest for entertainment and at an obvious disadvantage for choices we performed our first story. We enjoyed it so much and hoped others would too. So, with great enthusiasm we searched for stories that helped contemplate the adventures and sorrows that life often brings into our everyday lives. Then there are the stories we read that are just meant to amuse and excite you. It is our belief that all art and creativity is alive. It is an entity onto itself. It can grow and touch people in ways that we do not understand. Our wish to you, is that the stories you listen to, inspire, delight and entertain you. Thank you for your support. Peace, Love and Light To You All

    Well written well told-

How sweet is a soft and gentle embrace.

Cats to add fear upon his already scared face.

A witch ponders her fate and her final nights ride.

Mothers in waiting speak in evil toned pride.

An enchanted gathering drawn by dragon's heard call.

The epic tale told of one who shall reign over them all.

A treasured reward but for those who can see.

Wind speaks of a world to a leaf in a tree.

Enticing tunes made by a mountanous sand hill.

A curious pig's wish is magically fufilled.

A wizard evokes the arrival of spring.

Woodland creatures know the secret that nature will bring.

And just as the story of a tailor's job done.

Your collection of fables was wonderful and fun.

Dear Cheri & Jay, we appreciate you bringing your Woodland Tales here to our EF community, thank you for joining us. I, too, love reading aloud & found the story of how you began this special project inspirational - especially as you were near the protection of magnificent redwoods at the time - those stunning trees truly make us realise how small we are on this beautiful planet. I enjoyed 'School's Out', rather a different conversation than the ones I used to hear over the many years I stood waiting in the playground... ;)

    Smiles,
