I think i am back on the road to recovery possibly, oh i hope so i am soooooooo bored at home taking it easy you would not believe it. I have knitted a Witch and a Mermaid and i am hoping to do a Jack O Lantern this weekend followed by Gnomes for Yule gifts, but i don't do taking it easy at all well.
But i have found a new Green Man, yipeeee. My friend Peter Hill writes books on church carvings and he has a particular interest in Green Man carvings. But i usually get all excited and tell him about them and he has already seen the chap at some point. But i found one in Hartpury Church near Gloucester and he is a newie, tee hee at last!!!
I am still very under the weather, but on the way up again i hope!
I have just stuck a load of piccys on my site of my lovely animals, i think you can go see them if you want, i am very proud of all of them and love them far toooooo much for their own goods!
I am going off to look for a pattern as i would like to enter a knitting competition, it has to be a pattern prior 1970 which i have tons of as i inherited my Gran's patterns when her arthritis mean she could no longer knit. You have to give it a modern twist with the yarn though, so i am lloking for something that would look good in funky furry wool. Well it keeps me quiet!!!
Sorry i have not been around much, but i am not feeling at all well:(
I have been diagnosed with a bad kidney infection and i am feeling less than well to be honest. I am having another corse of antibiotics and some other tablets which will hopefilly improve things, but it i s exhausting and frustrating and i need a fairy spell to make me fel better :)
Anyway i will be arounf, but probably won't be posting too much for a few days.
Forgot and i meant to tell you this.....................................
When working on my herb gardens yesterday i found a stone with a hole right through it, how lucky is that. I have found a few at the seaside but never one in my garden, how lucky is this. I now have it in pride of place on my altar and i have put some herbs in the hole so i can use it as an offering stone.
Today i am going to make a start on my fairy garden, i have one in a pot (i make my own fairy garden kits for Fairiechild and thought i should give it a go!) but being as i have cleared the back of the garden for a fruit tree plot i decided it would be nice to have a bigger fairy garden there. So i am going to clear and dig a plot in preparation for the full moon when i will do my seed planting. Any ideas of what you think i could include would be most welcome. I have just sourced the most wonderful organic wild seed seller so i am looking foward to using some of those. Then i shall make a plaque and call it the "Enchanted Garden" if that is ok? I cna post some pictures of a work in progress if you like?
Anyway better go and get on so i can catch todays sunshine.
Hello and a big thank you to my friend Tivon for introducing me to this lovely site.
My name is Batty and this is just a quick note to introduce myself to you all.
I am a Hedgewytch but i am not Black or White just Purple and Sparkly as Purple is most definitely my fave colour.
I adore anything to do with Fairies especially the book i am reading with my Niece "That's not my Fairy" wonderful funny book!!! I am trying to pen my own story at the minute about Fairies, but not the traditional nice fairies, it is all about my experiences with the naughty ones!!!
I am looking foward to meeting and chatting with you and can't wait to explore more of this site.
