To dance with the Wolf

Is to honour your Brother.

For not so long ago

Brother Wolf and Man

Once hunted side by side,

With respect and understanding

That came from our souls.

We acknowledged their wisdom,

We gave thanks for their protection,

We shared our food,

We honoured our Brother in Prayer and Ceremony.

 

But somewhere along this path of life

In what man termed as his progress?

We stepped away from Mother Earth

And learned to fear what we once held sacred.

And in our fear we destroyed.

And when we destroyed,

We broke the connection of sacredness

Between Brother Wolf and Us.

 

When that sacred connection was broken

Apart of us died inside.

 

For those of us that knew

For those of us that understood

We sent our prayers to the creator.

We prayed that hearts and minds

Would open in love and understanding.

That the sacredness between Brother Wolf and Man

Would again flourish and grow,

And that we would earn the right

To take our place once more,

To stand at the side of our Brother

THE WOLF

Within The Sacred Hoop of Life.
