    About Me: I am here to gain inspiration, advice and friendship! I am never at ease with myself more than when I am drawing, but need to gain some more confidence. I have sold some of my work before but trying to find my niche is hard!

    Movies: Oooh,where to start- Stardust,Spiderwick, Harry Potter, Tinkerbell, Practical magic, anything by Tim Burton, Sleepy hollow, Brothers Grimm, anything Disney (I pretend the dvds are for my girls but they are mine!!), Pirates of the caribean,I married a witch, Elf, Lord of the rings, Golden compass, Ella enchanted, Nanny Mcphee,The Others,Into the woods,Midsummer nights dream,,
    TV: Ghostwhisperer! And Sabrina the teenage witch is my guilty pleasure.
    Books: Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman, Book of lost things by John Connelly, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.Ladies of Grace adieu by Susanna Clarke, Kandide by Diana Zimmerman,Spiderwick,The Thirteenth tale by Diane Setterfield, Harry Potter, and my beloved art books- Art of faer, World of faery,Books on Pre-raphealites and lots more.
    Likes: my family, my two dogs Merlin and Rocco. Christmas! Chocolate. Happy people.
    Dislikes: Pretentiousness.
    Hobbies: Drawing, baking, reading, watching films, gardening and spending as much time with my family as possible.

    First signs of spring!

                 Finally the ground seems to have stirred and there are signs of life in my garden! I have a few crocuses and snowdrops and I can barely contain my excitement!! Here are some pics to bring a bit of spring cheer to all at EF!

    Hi everyone,

     last weekend we had a party for my youngest daughter, Marnie, and this is the cake that I made for her. I love baking, can't stand cooking but I love, love, love baking. This is an enchanted tree, I would love to take the credit for it's design however it's not, it's from a book by Debbie Brown. I have made castles, mermaids and fairy cakes from both her and Lindy Smith's books. It seemed to go down well, especially as it was chocolate!!

    OMG! I WANT IT! My oldest birthday is March 25th and he wants a Dragon cake can you make it?......than again it might be a bit expensive to send all the way to the US. LOL

    Hi All,

    just thought I would tell you that I am so proud that I have conquered my Folksy shop- finally got loads of my drawings on!! So all I have to do is sit back and wait to see if anyone likes them enough to buy them, fingers crossed!!!

    Finally on Folksy

    Hi All,

    my heart is going ten to the dozen because I have finally set up my shop on Folksy.com. Its called Wintersgate Fairy and although I have only managed to put one item on today I am planning on putting all my pictures and new handmade bits and pieces on. Please stop by and take a look!!

    Zoe, I could most likely find her book on Amazon.com, thanks for the tip. The problem is.....I can't bake! LOL If it doesn't come out of a box or isn't pre-made forget it....

    You should be able to copy and paste the Folksy Button to your profile here then link it to your shop(so people can just click on the button)
    I hope you get it to work :)

    I still feel like i should be in my 20's though ;) where did the time go?

    Well on my profile here i went to edit profile and copied a code from Etsy and pasted into the about me section.
    I have just had a quick look on Folksy and they have a Blog Button feauture,if you go onto Folksy and find the Blog Buttons(look under FAQ) you should be able to add and link it here on Enchanted Folk(just remember to link to your shop)
    I see they are also planning to do something similar to Etsy where you can display products,but at least for now you can add the Blog Button here on EF and any other Blogs your on.

    I know you can with Etsy,i think it would help people on EF find your shop more easily.

    I hadn't heard of Folksy,it looks quite good but i will stick with Etsy for now.Are you going to try Etsy or have you gone off that idea?
